Group-IB to assist in protecting critical infrastructure

Group-IB, one of the global leaders in high-grade threat intelligence and best in class anti-fraud and network security solutions vendor has agreed with the National IT Centre to have signed an agreement to form a joint venture to develop and deploy sophisticated cybersecurity systems and services for critical infrastructure. This partnership is to reflect the world practice of private and public cooperation to combine leading technologies, experience, and knowledge of a private company with the power and competence of a state corporation.

According to the agreement signed at CIPR IT conference Group-IB will deploy critical infrastructure protection based on the following solutions:

  • Threat Intelligence to keep up with the constantly changing threat landscape, learn about threats targeting specific fields and industries, evaluate and improve IT security investment strategy.
  • TDS and Polygon intrusion detection systems that protect against unknown malware and detect targeted attacks on network infrastructures and APTs before any damage is caused.
  • Secure Portal to prevent unauthorised access to personal accounts of state-services web-portals and personal data and credit cards credential collection, block bots that crack passwords and disrupt online polls.
  • Big data analysis systems.

Cybercrime is a global problem that no one state and business can solve separately. Now that hackers not only steal money and information affecting business and individuals, but also may harm critical infrastructure, cooperation between states and public-private partnership is the only effective measure able to prevent human losses. Being a Europol partner Group-IB is an active member of international cybersecurity cooperation program. Threat Intelligence the company provides can help many countries around the globe to build effective IT security strategy and be one step ahead of the criminals.

Public-private partnership in the field of cybersecurity is a global trend, that showcases that the state is ready to accept and assess cyberrisks, while business is mature enough to work on the national level. The joint venture we are to create with a state technological giant is the first in the series of partnerships with the market leaders we are to establish in the near future in different regions of the world to protect governmental institutions and infrastructures from cyberthreats.

We are currently negotiating with our partners in the Middle East and Latin America – two regions where a great deal of cyberthreats come from – who are interested in implementing our knowledge and expertise in the cybersecurity field on the national scale.

Public-private partnership is a form of cooperation between the governmental bodies and business that has proved its efficiency in all developed economies. Following market trends and demand, it is business who drives competition and has to offer the best product, while public sector has resources to support private companies and power to achieve strategic goals. We have gone through a complex due diligence process, and now we’re proud that a technology leader has chosen our competences and technologies.
